- Biographical or historical data: Ben Shapiro was born in Western Massachusetts, grew up in L.A., and today is a New York-based documentary director and cinematographer. His is also a radio producer and regular contributor to NPR programs and RadioDiaries. His work has appeared internationally on television, at major festivals and museums including the Museum of Modern Art and the L.A. County Museum of Art. His projects and collaborations have received support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and have been awarded the Peabody, Dupont, Emmy and AFI First Prize.
